Use the plant and animal cell animation to help you draw a plant cell and an animal cell. Identify and
label the organelles found in each type of cell. Describe the function of each organelle. Then take the quiz. Bring
me your cell drawings for 50 points of homework credit. Print out the results of your quiz and bring it to me for 25 points
extra credit.

Write the word and the definition. Then draw or find a picture which helps you remember the word
and the definition.
Example: Cell - The basic unit of structure and function in a living thing
There are 13 Key Terms on page 6. Make sure you have the words, definitions, and pictures for all
13!
Week of September 14-18
In the Mentos and Diet Coke Experiment you manipulated (changed) one variable (independent variable)
to test your hypothesis. Now Design a follow-up experiment to continue testing your hypothesis. Include in your paper a List
of Materials, your hypothesis, your prediction, and your independent (manipulated), Dependent (responding), and Controlled
variables.
Week of September 8-11
Do Discover activity on page 6. Make a list of all the parts of your body that worked together as
you performed this activity. Do "Writing in Science" on page 11.
